Flipbook interaction - Can shapes, arrows, etc be added ?

I haven't used the new Flipbook interaction just yet, but after doing some exploring, I was wondering if any shapes, such as arrows can be added to the interaction ? What I'd like to do is have text on the right page and a diagram/image on the left page and have arrows point from the text to certain areas of the diagram/image. Kinda similar to the Guided Image interaction where you have the arrows pointing to various areas of the image.
