Engage not detecting open ppt presentations

Hi all,

I'm sure these answers have been posted before, but I've just spent 30 minutes searching for them and I'm giving up and asking for help.

I just updated Engage a couple of weeks ago to the most current version of 1.x: 1.3.904.1415. Now it won't detect open powerpoint presentations when I try to publish to a slide. I'm using ppt 2007 and haven't had problems with publishing in the past.

Also, powerpoint keeps generating errors that I don't have the most recent version of flash player, but I do. (seems like I had this problem a long time ago but can't remember the fix.)

Again, sorry for what I'm sure is a repetitive post (I really did try to find this info on my own), and I'm super grateful for any help.

I didn't really find an answer, but I found a workaround:

Unable to publish to ppt.

And I get an error when i try to manually register the flash.ocx file as instructed in another area of the forums (though not the flash9b.ocx , 10x.ocx file, etc.), so I'm still working on that one.
