I hear you there, Mary!

We have trainers who may take a PPT (usually filled with mainly bullet point slides) that they have delivered live in class and just publish it with AP. This then gets used for some required training.

I can sympathize a bit with them when they say that's all they have time for these days of reduced staffs and increased responsibilities and impending deadlines. Many of them have pressure cooker type of jobs and have no resources to hire somebody or give it to someone else. They have at least exposed people to the material.

And we in corporate can't do the development for them.

But in my mind, "mere exposure to words or terms" does not equal training or learning or potential application by the learner.

So I'm still strugging to present SMEs and newbies a "50,000 foot view of differences between telling and training." Something really simple that they can absorb quickly to get them on board to try to do better for their learners.
