With a stand-alone quiz, you can also branch the learner off to another web page, outside of Quizmaker, where the learner can record their completion.

If they don't pass the quiz, they don't get to this page to acknowledge their completion

Depending on what technologies you have at your disposal, this could be a simple web e-mail submission form, or if you use something like Lotus Notes that can identify who there are via SSO, a simple button click to record their completion.
