mbstuartiii,
Quizmaker by default, when not using labels, uses what is called discrete visual analog scales, in particular, there are no verbal labels at all, except to define the poles of a continuum. To show this type format you must open your Likert Scale Question Window and select the
Scale... button in the bottom right hand corner --> this will open the Likert Scale window labels --> uncheck
show numbers on scale and the
OK button to confirm your changes.
Follow the instructions below to add your own labels:
1. open the question group for edit
2. click the Scale… button at the bottom right hand corner
3. uncheck show numbers on scale --> Ok button to confirm
4. switch to Slide View on the Home Tab
5. click on the Timeline toolbar on the bottom of the window --> this will expand, revealing all elements associate with your current slide
6. twirl the right arrow next to the
Likert Scale Question layer in the Timeline to expand
7. click on the eye next to the Likert Scale layer --> to hide the layer
8. insert a new Text Box from the Insert Tab (click and drag in the design window)
9. enter the text in the Text Box you just created to represent your scale (you will have to adjust the font size and text spacing to fall in line with the radio buttons below - you may also have to scale your radio buttons apart to help accommodate for this - see step 10)
10. click the eye in the Timeline to show the Likert Scale layer in the design window and drag the left center handle to the left to spread the radio buttons apart. (make sure you hide the layer again by clicking on the eye next to the layer in the Timeline.
