He'd like to see the preso, if that's possible. If so, send me a private message and I can arrange for that.
Concerning the use of Articulate Presenter:
With respect to Presenter/PowerPoint. Presenter uses the PowerPoint narration audio if (in the same order):
- There narration wasn’t recorded with Presenter for that slide.
- The 1st animated object on the slide is the narration.
- It finds the audio file associated with the narration.
If I find more, I'll share it with the thread.

They are recorded in PPT's Record Narration tool

The speaker icons have nothignt o do with Articualte and audio. As guru stated and you acknowledged, the speaker icons indicate that the audio was recorded via PPT's record narration.

Another bit to add to the puzzle. The speaker icons for the ones that don't work in Articulate, is not recognized in PPT as an image, when you right click on it the menu says its an "Object" rather than an image.

The first thing we need to be clear on is whether or not all of the audio was recorded via Articulate? My guess is no, because you see the audio icons on the slide.

ALL the Narrations for ALL the PPTs were recorded in PPT.

Do the PPT creators have access to Articulate?

No, I am the only one with Articulate.
Incidentally, I have 4 different people who make the PPT presentations and record narrations. Only this one person's PPTs cause the problem, even though she does it the same way everyone else does.
This is the proces:
The Faculty member creates a powerpoint presentation, then records the narrations via PPT's Record Narration tool.
They send the PPT to me.
I make PDF handouts of the PPT's, then Attach the handouts via the Articulate Attach tool.
I publish via Articulate.
I have never, until this particular person's PPT's, had any problems getting the PPT narrations to convert over to the flash during publishing. For this one person's PPTs, MOST of the PPT recorded narrations transfer over just fine, but
only the few with the odd looking speaker icon don't transfer.
It's a weird problem.... I guess I might have to consign myself to the fact that I won't figure it out.
