Articulate Online Scheduled Maintenance - Saturday, April 12, 2008

We're pleased to announce that as a result of the ongoing success of Articulate Online, the Articulate Online infrastructure is being upgraded and is moving to a new, world-class data center.

Why the change?
We're committed to providing you with the best possible system. In fact, we are increasing our hosting investment in Articulate Online sixfold, providing excess capacity above and beyond the long-term projected system load.

What's changing?
Two things are happening:

  1. The Articulate Online infrastructure is being moved to Rackspace, the #1 data center in the world, whose customers also include some of the biggest names in technology: Microsoft, Dell, Cisco, and thousands more.
  2. Articulate Online is being upgraded to a new version, 1.7, which includes performance improvements for customers with more than 1,000 users, as well as a number of minor bug fixes. You can view full release notes here.

What's the impact?
During the data center migration and system upgrade, all Articulate Online accounts will be offline. Access to all Articulate Online functions (such as managing or viewing content) will be temporarily unavailable for about 3 hours.

Please notify any of your users who may plan to access content during the downtime.

When is this happening?

  • Saturday, April 12, 2008
  • 7pm - 10pm EDT (GMT-4)

We will make every effort to complete the migration and upgrade between these hours. Unanticipated delays will be posted at heartbeat.articulate.com.
