After publishing your content from PowerPoint to Articulate Presenter, are you seeing characters experience an identity crisis? For example, maybe your bullets dress as quotation marks. Are your apostrophes masquerading as circles?

If you’re noticing this or similar behavior in your published content, you can likely blame the complex TrueType font you’re using in your presentation (or that someone in your company used when designing your corporate PowerPoint template).

This identity crisis is likely being caused by a font substitution. Please try one of the following:

1. Change to a different font.
2. In PowerPoint, go to Tools -> Options -> Save and check the box to “Embed TrueType fonts.” Leave the default lower bullet selected (“Embed all characters”).

Republish after doing one of the above and your characters should return from hiatus.

In PowerPoint 2007, click the Office icon -> PowerPoint Options -> Save -> “Embed fonts in the file.”
