Randy Pausch, whose book has topped best-selling lists for months, was a computer science professor at Carnegie Mellon University who died of pancreatic cancer on July 25, 2008 (TechCrunch coverage). His final talk — Last Lecture: Achieving Your Childhood Dreams — has been viewed more than 6 million times on YouTube.
