If your work day is anything like mine, it’s a delicate balancing act of taking in an endless stream of digital information coming at you faster than you can ask yourself how to create engaging elearning.
How do you take your elearning news? Do you have lots of browser or del.icio.us bookmarks? Perhaps you use a start page like iGoogle or netvibes.
Last year I posted a list of The 19 Best Elearning Blogs (still one of the most popular entries on this blog). Back in July, I wrote about a Training Blogs Portal, which aggregates a number of elearning resources in one Pageflakes environment.
Today I want to highlight some of the top elearning blogs in the elearning world (in no particular order), as well as share with you a live feed of all the elearning blogs on my Google Reader radar (look beneath the list).

My former customer and current colleague Tom Kuhlmann provides practical, real-world elearning tips. And people love ‘em. His subscriber count has skyrocketed past the 12,000 mark. Elearning blogger extraordinaire, Tony Karrer is one of the most frequent bloggers in the industry, always doing an excellent job of linking to other popular elearning blogs, so reading him regularly makes me feel like I never miss any of the other great conversations. He also does a lot of in-depth research and analysis, which he shares publicly on his blog (for example, LMS RFP). - elearnspace
George Siemens does a great job consolidating a lot of content about “learning, networks, knowledge, technology, community.” - Clive on Learning
The man behind the 30-minute masters wiki, Clive Shepherd’s blog provides great insight on trends in the industry — from a UK vantage point across the pond. I also featured Clive’s work in this recent post: Kineo & Clive: 60-Minute Masters for SMEs. - Corporate eLearning Development
Brent’s blog about corporate elearning and gaming is still going strong following his recent employment by The Elearning Guild. His blog highlights much of the research done by the Guild. - Stephen’s Web ~ OLDaily
With focus on the education elearning space, Stephen posts more often than just about anyone in my feed. If it’s news in the EDU elearning world, Stephen’s on it. And you can see his elearning feeds, too. - Making Change - Elearning development & design ideas
Cathy Moore blogs regularly about how to “create lively, powerful elearning.” She uses lots of examples and imagery, and her recent post about Elearning examples was oft linked to throughout the elearning blogosphere. - Presentation Zen
Garr Reynolds’ blog provides a wealth of great content and design principles for creating compelling presentations — perfect for anyone creating elearning in PowerPoint. In fact, one of Garr’s recent posts was inspiration for Tom’s blog entry this week, What Steve Jobs Can Teach You About Designing E-Learning.
